HOW'S this for waxing lyrical: pop princess Kylie Minogue at Darling Harbour's new Madame Tussauds museum.

Minogue, who is already immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds in London, is one of the star attractions at the Sydney museum, which opened this week.

Her figurine had been treated to a few finishing touches during a busy first week.
General manager Hywel Mathias said Minogue had been a popular exhibit, along with Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp and Home & Away star Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart).

"Its been really busy," he said. "We opened our doors to over 1000 people on the first day.

"The one thing that I'm hearing time and time again is people say just how real they all look."
Those joining Minogue include Lleyton Hewitt, Delta Goodrem, Jimmy Barnes, the Queen, Rihanna, Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Jackson. Each figure costs about $220,000 to make.
